How consent works

You provide consent at intake

When you book or attend an appointment, your clinic's intake process includes a consent step for SMS communications. This may appear as a checkbox on an online booking form, or as a field on a paper intake form at the clinic.

The consent language you agree to reads as follows:

Consent statement: "I consent to receive SMS messages from [Clinic Name] via CareLoop AI regarding my appointment and post-appointment recovery follow-up. Message frequency is 1–3 messages per appointment. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for help."

No SMS messages are sent to any patient without a prior consent record on file. Consent is collected and stored by your clinic as part of the intake process.

Opt-out and help keywords

You are in control

You can opt out or request help at any time by replying with one of the following keywords:

STOP CANCEL UNSUBSCRIBE HELP START UNSTOP

Replying STOP immediately removes your number from all future SMS communications. Your opt-out is logged and honoured for all future appointments. Replying HELP returns contact information for your clinic.

Your rights and our obligations

Messages are only sent to patients who have given express consent during the clinical intake process.
Your phone number is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Every message includes opt-out instructions. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
All interactions are logged in compliance with PHIPA and PIPEDA requirements for patient record-keeping.
This program complies with CASL (Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation) and applicable provincial health privacy regulations.
